Two months ago I set out to start writing more frequently to try and get better at something I feel I’m pretty bad at. When I wrote that first entry I had every intention of writing at least once a week until that became a habit and then increase the frequency. We all see how that worked out. I think one of the challenges I had was about a week later I went back and read that entry, and it felt so pretentious. How do I stop writing shitty, pretentious entries?

Welcome to Dreamforce

I just finished up visiting San Francisco for the Dreamforce Conference. Approximately 65,000 executives, developers and customers descend upon San Francisco to network and learn about all things Salesforce. This year’s theme was organizing around the “Agentic Enterprise”–an idea that Salesforce can provide the platform for turning your company into a workforce of highly productive employees with the use of AI Based Agents that have knowledge and context of company policies and customers.

It’s a compelling proposition, and they are in a good position to lead that charge.

Welcome to the Agentic Enterprise

The Future of the Enterprise

The assumption with being able to deploy your workforce in this Agentic Enterprise is that all of your company information resides in some place that Salesforce can use for context. This is no longer just making sure that you are using Salesforce as a CRM but also as the platform that you use to manage your company operations. Employee Records, Policy Documents and all other supporting workflows in your enterprise help to enable you to augment (or replace) existing roles with Automated Agents.

It will be interesting to see how things progress in this new world and whether it helps to create efficiencies in the enterprise or if it just creates more confusion.
