Writing is Hard. It’s one of the hardest things I do personally and in my day job. On the days I have to spend writing documentation it’s really hard to get excited and find motivation. I’ve found myself starting to lean on AI to write for me because I dislike it so much. However, I’ve realized that I spend more time just completely replacing the documentation that Claude writes for me with something else. It made me wonder if I would be faster and produce better quality documentation if I just wrote it by myself.

Make your weaknesses your strength

Throughout grade school I had a wrestling coach that used to push us to spend time on the things we were bad at. He used to tell us to “make your weaknesses your strength”. I’m weak at writing, so here I am….writing.

Today, the passage will be short and not much value for anyone but me–getting the ball rolling. Hopefully in time I’ll be able to share some usable insight succinctly. Maybe in a year I’ll look forward to writing technical documentation. Either way, today is the start of that adventure.
